Usually this is a problem with your connection. There's not much you can do about it other that:
* Ride it out.
* Call your ISP to see if they're doing any service that might be causing the interruptions. (Although, it's just as likely that it's the opponent's service, or some server in-between the two of you.)
* Make sure you're not using any bandwidth in the background of your game (for instance, downloading anything, including Windows updates or updates for your virus scanner or anything like that which may be automatic).
* Run a virus scan to make sure there's not some malware using your bandwidth in the background.
