Could you get Rick to set the weight for Nukes and CM to 0 please?

I think Nukes are very important. They create
water fields for fighting, which ave very useful
for certain types of weapons which are good
over medium-long range. Without nukes, this
sort of event (see what happened on our Ice
Rink level) would not happen.

However, the number of nukes in the last game
was nuts. Perhaps we need to drop the weight
in half?

- nukes and missiles are part of it... is weight too high? 1 nuke and 2 missiles may be pushing it (per map) :)

During our 2nd game, some people started complaining about tanks vanishing and such.

I just wanted to explain what causes this. When you have a big, open arena like Caldera where you can see the majority of the action from any point, TM has to get updates on every bit of that action from the server. This causes massive requests to the server, and thus lag. Caldera is one of the worst maps for this becuase of the big pit. I experienced it, I'm sure 99% of the people experienced it, where tanks wouldn't always update in a prompt manner.

It's something that you just have to live with in clan games on certain maps.

One thing that causes increased bandwidth, and thus increased lag, are weapon projectiles that have high crud effects on them, such as Plasma Ball, Wasp, and Plasma Mine. If we were to reduce some of the visual effects of these weapons, we could probably reduce lag.

Anyone interested in that? If so, I'll look into which effects we can kill without changing how the weapon looks in combat.

Most excellent. Good job GA.
Congrats to RC, Carnage, and Alamo (by the hair of a frag) for taking 1st in the respective games.
Congrats to Pab for almost taking 1st in the last 2 games...yes...very close he was.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO to Carnage for making the last frag of the 2nd game.

And thank you all for showing up and making it happen...lag and all.

Now if we could just get you all to show up for a ranked DDM...we would be set...LOL.
