i have never heard Texturizer... i googled it and it looks like a text editor.
is that right? if so, the best free text editor you can lay your hands on is
NoteTab Light 4.95
it is free, no ads and no nags. they have a standard and pro version, but the light version should do everything you need.

toodles,
harmless

I might know where a copy of that program can be had, but you will have to email me so I can see if it can be sent to you. Oh yes if you want to see some greyscale maps go here Sailors Home Port

The program I used to build those menus is called Sothink DHTMLMenu Builder. It works pretty well, but you may find something that is freeware that will do the same thing - just never looked for one.

Is there a way to download a map like Sailors but to have an executable file that opens tm and puts the data in the game in a temporary Addon folder? (actually the batch would check for tm to be off first :D
like a java temporary application in the web///??

Kong: I did get a mail asking for the TMapper board. Never figured out who'd sent it, though, so I just archived it with a todo-tag. Sorry for taking that long to reply.

RC: Most of the files are still there, only the entry page is gone for good. But I really should move that tree to stop things from being indexed, deep-linked and found.

easiest method of making TM Maps?

Terragen.

The terrain it makes is random, but TILEABLE.

Meaning generate terrain to your likeing, then hit export BMP and you are set.

It's that easy. Takes some practive to get the height right and whatnot. But easy.

Yes, Sailor did this with JV's Storm mod. You would need to make an installer for each map.

Dreamer - thanks for the reply, sorry for not being more specific.

Haha, I can't find my old copy of Texturizer either? Ant can you send it over after you find a copy. Thanks. I think most all of us oldies had a copy so its not a big deal if whoever has there old copy to send it out to the regulars.

How would I make an installer for each map (or where can I go to read more information about it?)

Harmless:

Texturizer was made by LDA, but it seems all references to it vanished from their site sometime in 2001. The page continued to exist into 2003, then it too vanished with the redesign of the LDA website.

(Archive.org is very slow today - there might be a page that has all the samples visible, but I'm not taking the time to find it)

Heres a funny question. How do you delete entities in TMapper?
