The Wave - Motion Laser Pack has been upgraded! Quadruple and Quintuple Wave - Motion Lasers are online and Triple and Double Wave - Motion Lasers have been fixed of their IDs.

hey guys! alot of the ideas i had seem to be alreaDY done or not possible.

i will list some anyway cause i may be wrong. lol

i thought about for weapons,

a earthquake gun or missle that when launched,it would make a deep crack in the ground. something like the magma flamer.kinda boring though.

a lightning gun that shoots like the shadow. very powerful...one or two shots would destroy the other tanks.

a falcon burst missle...
it would launch with the turret position and in midair,it would burst into like 5 mini missles shaped like a falcon that act like the homing missle for medium range.


concussion mines... when they roll over them or hit them,they blast upward,throwing the tank high in the air.


a tazmanian devil bomb that works like the airraid
it drops and just before it hits the ground, it explodes and alot of little plasma balls and sparks zoom all around the immediate area blowing up anything they touch.


i have some more but i gotta go now but...what do u think about them?

Think of a rgrenade that drops inverted spires along the way. I know Dudymas did something similar with a line of hills, but that weapon is only available as part of the FTnCD package, I believe.

dayum! shot down like a pidgeon. lol

well,for the concussion mines, i was thinking that they would lay on the ground like reg mines and when they were hit,then it would explode upward.

i see i'm gonna have to rethink my ideas...seems like they were already done in one form or fashion. that's cool.

ok, i got some more suggestions.....


1 ) BLACK ICE MINES: mines that leave a patch of black ice that lasts about 10 seconds....as a second thought,the patch would match the ground as to be invisible. :twisted:

2 ) PIT O HELL bomb: a bomb that lobs straight up and when it lands,it explodes creating a hole straight downto the water and magma flows out destroying nearby tanks.then when the magma runs out,a big tremor disintergrates the land around where it landed about the size of a football field.


3) THE LEPRECHAN: weapon shaped like a pot of gold that releases gold coins that turn into fake weapons like the icemine weapon. when they are picked up,they explode like a mini atom bomb.



4) STARGATE: a missle that travels to the next gate to energize it with an impenetrable shield that bounces tanks backward for about 7 seconds.


5) MULTI-MOTAR: 3 different motars come out
a) MINI TWISTER : launches a semi-guided capsule toward enemy and explodes into a mini tornado that lasts about 3 seconds
b) CONCUSSION BLAST: another semi-guided capsule that explodes with a force that pushes all away and makes a big puff of dust.
c) FIREFLY: explodes overhead to create multple sparkling dots of explosive,flying pellets.

6) EYE OF RA: it's like a nukebut when it explodes,and the cloud clears,a medium-sized pyramid appears.the pyramid then launches nukes...like the armageddon map. a deep voice also says RA whenever a nuke is launched.

7) HORNET'S NEST: skinny,guided missles that strike with a poof!making a white cloud. no damage yet. it then creates a swarm of about 10 blue plasma balls that follow the tank and when they strike it,they suck up 10 points from the shield.


8) WORLD WAR III : a glowing briefcase that when launched,it makes a big earthquake and silos then rise out of the ground,randomly launching nukes,bombs that create big craters oozing magma,and guided missles.


ok,tear it apart! what do you guys think would be realistic?

also,it's hard to think of weapons because i dont know the limits of the game engine. would somebody list some guidlines for me so i can get an idea? thanks!

one more thing....any of the stuff can be exchanged for something else,it wouldnt be cast in stone.if anything can give you an idea for something,fantastic! :D

Some nice ideas there, if a little far fetched, I no longer mod much for TM, though me, dennis, and TT were aranging a pack. Whatever happened to that dennis?

For those of you that have been navigating my site OR have downloaded my mods, the website has been significantly upgraded (this includes a move). The main thread (that has been sticked, by the way) has had it's top post reflect these new changes.

The Wave - Motion Laser Pack has also been upgraded to include two new weapons! Expect some additional flavour out of the pack (assuming it doesn't crash the game).

love this amazing add-ons.
i think i spend days just setting them up
the way i like it and that just means more ammo or
quick reloads hehe.
don't really like using those alien looking tanks though hehe.

Liquid tanks..hmmm. I once found that the bigger ones such as Zodiac ect. Are actualy quite useful to myself. :D

For those that have downloaded my addons, most of them will be upgraded to fix the recognition problems! That should help a lot; especially now that I have Tread Marks Full.

The Tanks will be integrated into one addon, these tanks are basically copies of the Destroyer and Liquid Falcon tanks, EXCEPT:

The Light versions have an acceleration and turn rate advantage over the rest. Maximum Speed is cut though.

The Heavy versions are just the opposites of the lights. Their maximum speed is higher than the rest, but acceleration and turn rate are sacrificed.

One question still needs to be answered:
The Wave - Motion Laser Pack has been fixed except for one thing:

When I (or an AI) destroys another a tank, I get the following for all the weapons:
[SOURCE PLAYER] destroyed [TARGET PLAYER] with !
This doesn't make sense. I need assistance on this one.

you have to remove the NAMEID line at the top.

Nameid is a reference which tells tm to pick (in your case) entry # 6001 out of the localization file. NameID takes precidence over Name.

Since there is no entry #6001, it uses a blank name, even though you specified a name in the file.
