Well I have some questions to ask about blender sil vous plait.

Ahem.

1. Is there a way to mirror one side of my mesh to the other so it is simetrical?

2. How do I save my mesh in the right format for TM?

3. Is there a way to make sure my mesh does not go lob-sided when I extrude it?

4. HEEEEEELP!!!

Thx, 2nd

Shuriken is like a throwing star right? That shouldn't be hard at all.

A shuriken isn't hard. Try to copy this.

The steps were:
[list=a:48f0c6dd52]* Create a cylinder with 8 sides.
* From the top view, select every other vertex and scale them all toward the centre.
* From the side view, scale the whole thing vertically to make it thin.
* Select each top/bottom pair of vertices and merge them (Edit->Vertices->Merge->Centre) to make all the edges pointy.
* Go into object mode (Tab) and create a cylinder at the centre of the shuriken, scale it to the size you want the hole to be.
* Select the cylinder and shuriken and Object->Boolean Operation->Difference.
* Now select the cylinder and your original shuriken and delete them; the boolean operation created a new object which is your shuriken with a hole in it.

BLENDER_v241REND

guess I will have to make a holeless one...rick if you have that shuriken file it would help if you sent it to me

1) make sure you have nothing but triangles in your mesh (no single points, lines, or any polygons with more than 3 points as these will not render at all).

2) make sure all your polygons are corectly oriented. You can tell if your mesh has the polygons backwards by adding the following line to the ent file referencing the mesh:

cullface = 0

This will turn off backfaced polygon culling. If your missing polygons show up, then they are facing the wrong direction, and you need to flip them.
