I purchased the PF2 CD a while back and was using it with two identical 19" monitors and it was working fine.

Exchanged one monitor for the same brand but a year newer and PF2 would still work, but most times it would appear on the primary monitor first, then try the second monitor and lock in both for about 4 seconds then disengage back to the desktop.

After it tried 2-3 times, PF2 would lock solid on both monitors.

Yesterday I replaced the primary 19" monitor with a 24" Dell and PF2 refuses to lock. It tries, and you can see it for a second, and then back to desktop. It never locks on both like it did with the original pair of 19 inchers.

It almost seems like a timing problem as NVIDIA always seems to turn one monitor on before the other. Same with turning them off, one first, then the other.

The two 19" monitors were both 1024 x 768 and had this problem (but eventually locked). Now the primary monitor is 1920 x 1200 and the secondary is 1024 x 768 with a magnification of the problem.

Win2000PRO W/SP-4. 6800 video card with two DVI out connectors.

Sure miss my Particle Fire2!

Can you help?

Make sure you have the resolution (in the screen saver settings) set to Desktop Resolution , because it can sometimes have trouble on multiple monitors when you try to set the resolution explicitly.

Thanks Rick for getting back to me so quickly.

Unfortunately, I don't have any choice that offers 'desktop resolution'. Only a selection of a single resolution to use and I've tried them all.

This is version 2.0 of PF2.

Perhaps there is a newer one that would work better in this application?

Thanks again, your help is appreciated!

Are you sure you don't have the option? It should be here:

Well, Mr. Rick, aren't you astute!

IT WORKS NOW! PF2 is back! ....YES!

Sorry for missing the selection the first time that you told me. Too much Mt. Gay rum, I guess... LOL

Thanks again for your help and for such a FINE product!
