Well, it happened again...
The LDA main server is down. It was down for most if not all of this weekend.
I sure would like to know how we can get this server back up again when it goes down, and up quickly.
The only real fun way to play TM is via multiplayer. When the main server is down for a game community this small, most of us end up doing something else.
Since this has been happening frequently, I am begining to become concerned. Concerned that the future of this game is at risk.
This isn't the most popular game, but there are people here who keep the game alive, and encourage play by newbies who get on the server. The best way to keep people playing, both newbies and sages alike, is to give them an easy to find, reliable, accessible location where most of the people who are also playing online are concentrated.
We all love the 6-player-plus-AI-free frag fests.
Lets find a way to get the server back up quickly, or in the absence of that, acknowledge that the LDA server is an unreliable meeting place and establish a second place for people to meet when LDA is down.
I like playing with you guys. That is why I play online.
