10 years ago, a server was set up for CTF with only ifrit tanks on them.
so... all AI tanks defaulted to the AddOns folders.
and i don't remember how that was accomplished.
i have both... renamed the 'RaceTank' folder in 'entities' (no effect)
and deleted the 'RaceTank' folder in 'entities' ( crashed the server )
and i also tried that in conjunction with the 'TankGod' folder (same results)

so... i'm out of ideas on how to get all AI tanks to be ifrits only.
any and all bright ideas are welcomed.

thanks
harmnless

for those curious -> this is the addons for ifrits

ok, i figured it out.

the key is that ifrit tanks are considered steel tanks.
so on the server, you delete everything in the main entities 'RaceTank' folder
when you add in the ifrit tank skin mods -> do not use the AddOns folder.
put the ifrit mods in the appropriate main folders, and
in the dedicated cfg file, specify AI tanks to be steel tanks only.
and all the AI tanks are now ifrits. again, this is on the server only.

on the client side, just use the addons folder for the ifrits mods.

woohoo, my bro, 666, will be happy

toodles,
harmless
:)

the download in the first post,
contains the ifrit tank skin mods
and all of the CTF maps if you
decide to try out the ifrit CTF server.

an easier way is go into (addons)Entities\racetank

look for (Name =) and type # next to it like this (#name =)

also if players want their own skins on your server, for admin, client eyes only. you can make a secret (-Type)

look for (Type = nort2) and change it to (type = NortA) that way no matter who plays as Liquid Falcon on client side, gets the Modded tank instead.

those who know the password aka (type = *secret*) can only use that custom tank

that allows anyone with different computers to connect anywhere in the world with their own tanks or skins. making the AI use a different set of tanks..

best of all nobody can copy you. play as you ;)
