East Coast. (I just got home o_O) just an hour and a half late.

EST = Eastern Standard Time or GMT-5

we also have

CST = Central Standard Time or GMT-6
MST = Mountain Standard Time or GMT-7
WST = Western Standard Time or GMT-8

Ontop of this we also use EDT,CDT,MDT, and WDT where the 'D' stands for Daylight savings time. which may or may not apply to a given state (or in some cases city). The worst case is a certain state that falls on the time zone division, so the western side of the state is mountain time, the eastern side of the state is central time, the souther half of the state follows Daylight Savings convention, but the norther half does not. so basically in one state there are 4 seperate time zones. o_O

Yep, true to all, however, I'd like to point out that it isn't Western Standard Tme, it's Pacific Standard Time. (PST, no wait... wasn't it PDT? I can't remember... but It's pacific here.)

Super..point out something and then not understand the point you are pointing to...er...oh yeah---sounds about right---to get to the point of the matter---whatever it might have been that you were pointing to in the first place...

And I thought I was confusing...
I did some research, and It's the Pacific Standard Time, even though the acronym is PDT. Also, the acronyms for the others are EDT, CDT, and MDT respectively. The S is replaced by the D for the Daylight Savings Time as killer mentioned. During the winter time, it reverts to EST, CST, MST, and PST (no daylights saving time). I hope that clears some things up... I think I'm confuzzled...

Pacific or Western - I've heard it called both.

I just picked one. ;)
