I got the Trireme mission half done in Hegemony Gold and it says to escort so and so from Olynthus, but I've been playing 56 hours amd have yet to see Olynthus. Is it N E S W of Pella? Where is it? Arg!

Its a Major city on the peninsula South East of Pella

If you're having trouble finding it, just start sandbox as the Chalcidian League. Olynthus is the capitol.
