Using WINE 1.5.6 (I think whatever is the latest) I have successfully made HG run without flaws.

1) You can install HG in the usual way using the "Uninstall Windows Software" tool.
2) Set a new context for HG in the "wineconfig" tool. You will need to match the game deskop with the system desktop under the graphics tab. Whe runinng the game, manually set the resolution to that which you set in wineconfig.
3) Sound may or may not be working out of the box. If the game runs fine but has no sound, the likely culprit is that Pulse Audio is pointed to the wrong sink (Sink? Why not just call it something like "output" or "speaker"). I can tell you that the conf file is in /etc/pulse. I am not at my system right now but I think the file is pulseaudio.conf.
