When is the patch to correct the rather obvious (if admittedly cosmetic!) bug in v1.6.2 going to come out?

Hrmm... guess I've got to track down my Treadmarks CD. Gotta say, though, the idea of a "substantial update" does sound quite nifty :)

Most interesting an update in the works excellent. Been away for a while due to issues I have with loss of tank control in TreadMarks under Windows 7. Anyone have an idea what could cause that. Would actually enjoy getting back in a tank again...

You mean the 'DEMO' on the title screen? Yeah, that's a bit embarrassing. I've occasionally found some time to work on a fairly substantial change to Tread Marks, and I'm getting close to being able to release it, but since I'm only able to steal a weekend here and there to work on it, I can't say with much certainty when it will come out.

if the update is really that substantial i might just buy 10 extra copys and spread them around to my friends

as a "major" update is worth as much as a brand new game at a game store

it may even bring back our lost community, or new players :)

Just to manage your expectations, I should let you know that it'll probably be a month before I can even find one weekend where I can work on TM. Hopefully I'll be able to release something this year, but I'm not making any promises. This is strictly a side project.

i'm just sayin,. if your update turns out good enough, i would like to reward ya for your efforts

though it may be a side project to you, to us it is as good as hegemony

as without TM games like world of tanks never would have existed :)
