Which campaigns do you do? I found the Philip campaign very enjoyable and will probably do it again in the future. The Ionian campaign was just a bit boring, and I haven't gone very far. It is just hard not to lose to many soldiers in a fight. The waiting in winter also put me off.

The Athenian campaign overwhelmed, so I haven't tried it yet.

The sandbox mode feels very bland, what are nice starting nations?

Sandbox mode is pretty boring because the ai doesnt do anything on thier own, the athenian campaign is my favorite.
