I read in another thread in General that the patch would not interfere with save games, however, that keeps popping up whenever I try load it. This goes for the individual save file, and the autosaves.

I literally downloaded the new installer, and ran it, same installation directory on the same drive.

Any chance I've just missed a step? Wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't an almost 50 hour game.

That's odd. Did you update from 1.5.4, or something older?

The screenshot you posted shows the path to your saved game; if you send it to me I should be able to fix it for you.

I honestly don't remember, think I updated to 1.5.4 but.. may not have.

Thanks for the offer but I have decided to just restart, I had been having ideas of things I wanted to try differently, yet couldn't bring myself to abandon the current game. Now I have a "valid" excuse :)
