I am trying to send slaves through a forrested region along with a combat unit to escort them so they do not rebel. If I combine the groups into a formation then click on an area ahead, the combat unit moves much faster and instead of marching along with the slaves, it runs ahead and out of their sight. Any method to prevent this as it causes so much micromanaging? (For now, I am using workers as they wont rebel without supervision.)

if the military unit move faster then the slave, you did something wrong, unit that are group together move at the slower unit speed.

select you slave and you escort, clike on the ground next to you units, now you units are in group you can move then as one.
