I just picked up Hegemony: Gold. While trying to install it I've run into a possible issue. At the end of the installation process (per the green progress bar) the installer displays "Decompressing sounds...". After more than 10 minutes it changed to "Decompressing sounds...2114 left".

It has now been running for over 25 minutes. Is it normal for this installer to take that long to 'Decompress sounds'?

*I reposted this from the Hegemony forum threads, since I thought it might be better placed here*

I have a fairly fast system and the sounds took a couple of minutes to decompress, working thru the '2114 left' counter in batches of 100. On a slow/old system maybe it does chug.

I've definitely never seen it take that long on any system I've tested. My first suggestion would be to make sure that your C drive isn't too full, and that it's been defragmented.
