I just got Hegemony Gold after playing H.PoM and was wondering if I could move my Macedonia saved file onto Hegemony Gold?

I don't really think so... there are several different things, new game mechanics and quests, so i really doubt savegames are compatible (i.e. how would Gold know how many recruits are available in each city, as PoM didn't have recruits at all? etc.).
