Alright I need some help I downloaded the demo version of hegemony philip of macedon from steam to try it out before buying but when it starts up the screen is black and a message saying 'frequency out of range' I can here the main menu music playing but the screen stays black with that stupid message. Some one please help!

Sounds like a refresh rate issue. On the game launcher, click options > graphics and set resolution to 'Desktop Resolution'. If that doesn't work, on the same options screen uncheck Fullscreen and see if windowed mode will work.
