I just noticed that in my steam client it decided to download the games demo, and when I try deleting it it says that the main game needs files inside the demo. is this right?

Not if you're playing gold as stated earlier, gold is stand-alone from steam (the only thing they share is the reg key)

so wait, can i delete the steam game of the game, or does the gold use the game to play?

There's two separate issues here: * If you're playing Gold, it's completely standalone from Philip, so deleting your copy of Philip from Steam isn't going to affect Gold. * There seems to be a problem with Steam not removing the demo when you purchase the full version. I've emailed Steam about it, and I'm pretty sure it was just a minor oversight, so it'll probably be fixed shortly.
