there is a cheat called "convertcapturedcities" and it will change the rebelling city to "friendly" status
ex.
convertcapturedcities Athens

On the German keyboard, I believe it's the 'ö' key.

Hey,

I have a further question about the food. Is it possible to reduce consumption or to increase the stored contents of a village?
or perhaps the productivity of the farms?
Thanks for your help.

Chris

Are you asking about gameplay, or cheats?

If you're asking about gameplay:

* You can reduce consumption by levelling up your garrison with the 'logistics' skill, or if you have a food shrine near the city, capturing it.
* You can't increase the maximum storage of a city. If your food is maxing out, you should upgrade your roads to push the food to other cities.
* You can't increase the productivity of farms either. The productivity increases and decreases depending on the season.

If you're asking about cheats, you can edit the Resources/Data/globals.xnt file. Most of the settings you're interested in are listed under 'supply'.

Regarding the 'convertcapturedcities' cheat, in sandbox this does not seem to work for Messenia as it does not recognise the faction.

Regarding the 'convertcapturedcities' cheat, in sandbox this does not seem to work for Messenia as it does not recognise the faction. The same seems to apply to Argos and Arcadia unless I am missing something.

in sandbox you may need to add the sandbox as a tag
as in:
Convertcapturedcities Argos sandbox (or Sandbox) not sure which :D

Tried convertcapturedcities Messenia sandbox (and Sandbox) but still get "target faction not found".

The faction name is 'MesseniaSandbox'. Capitalization matters, if I recall.

You can find all the faction names at the top of the Resources\Entities\Campaigns\sandbox.xml file.

Is there a (reversible)command for revealing the map? I'd like it to see the overall political situation and make screens of the map. Not so much cheating as showing my campaign to friends.

Yes :
fadefog 0 0 - will reveal all the map and units;
fadefog 1 1 - reverses all
fadefog 1 0 - shows buildings in silouet(?spelling) outside your normal view
Fadefog 0 1 - unsure what it does, as doesnt seem much different from ( 0 0)

I myself have a screenshot composite of the map and one with sandbox start traderoutes of all factions
I'd love to share but dont know how on this site
I'm still trying to figure out how to improve the experience of the units via setskill :(

hehe

Thanks. As for sharing, I think it's done this way:

EDIT: Quote to see how. And even though I resized it, the image is still too large. Lemme fix it.
EDIT2: Fixed.

tried to use imageshack like you but the file is waaaay to big even in jpeg format at 18+ Meg and since its got a lot of details on it if I shrink it quality and info will be lost :(

but nice screenie by the way :D

I wish Longbow could release a Bitmap/jpeg of these for both Rome and Gold as I find them invaluable for strat planning
as it took me and Fraps a good 3 hours of work to get it as close to acurate as possible then used Paint.net for traderoute placement.

The first parameter to fadefog is the fog opacity (from 0.0 to 1.0, ie 0% to 100%) and the second is how long the fade should take in seconds.
