Welcome in, Paw. Been a while since I played TM myself, but I discovered something very important for peace of mind with TM in Win7 (to a lesser extent Vista): Install TreadMarks in a location other than C:\Program Files\. Win7 and Vista are both anal about protecting the programs there, to the point that they can prevent a game from working altogether.

In my case, I install all games in C:\Games, most utilities in C:\Utilities, my Internet-connectivity stuff in C:\Internet, multimedia programs in C:\Multimedia, etc. Only stuff that forces me to goes in C:\Program Files.

mine is the new intel corei3 and it places my DL into C Programs File(x86) folder all my reg win stuff located in just C Programs files my only prob is my DSL carrier WHO keeps putting off fixing my speed i fill like im still on dialup LOL...I think our PH lines out my way are the ones they put there when the PH 1st came out

BUT its fun to come back and play a old fun game like tm
