Team racing...stats are for fragging

OK, I have always wanted to do team racing, but the stats need to different in order to even consider doing team racing. The ongoing stat need to display your position in the race not the number of frags.

So, is there an easy way of changing this?

I would still like an answer to the question. Can the ongoing stat be changed to display different information?
