I don't know if the server needs a reboot or the ENT files need a review but a Nuke spawn every minute and a shadow every third minute makes for a horrible game on the stock server.

Just a question. Did you time the other weapon respawns? Because if the nuke and shadows off that also means so are the other weapons.

Nitro,

Each weapon's spawn frequency can be adjusted individually using a percentile weighting factor; lower power weapons usually have a higher percentile and thus will show up more often than higher power weapons like nukes and rediculous weapons like the shadow.

Now, sometimes, if a server runs for a long, long, long time, those weights can get skewed for any of a number of reasons like over written registers, bad memory flushes and what have you. When this happens, you can get unbalanced appearance of weapons which usually don't show up all that often in normal game play.
A restart of the game server application usually addresses this by forcing a reread of the entity files.

On the other hand, sometimes, you get someone who actually modifies the weights on the more powerful weapons so that they start showing up like they were brown ammo boxes and then the game play suffers tremendously.

Finally, it is easy to track nuke and shadow spawns becuase they are announced, the other weapons don't have that element (TG). The reason why the nuke and shadow are announced is because they can be used to gain a quick advantage in game. That is why most veteran players wast the Shadow after taking a couple unfair frags. Unless, of course the game is filled with spawn fragging noobies with no sense or Max and then a veteran player might take five or six unfair frags in retallition and or disgust.

Failing that ,we crash the server forcing them to reboot it, either way works.
