I'm afraid you're trying to battle the Digital Restrictions Management that is included with Vista.

Are you aware the DMCA may stop some of these hackers from doing such attempt?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. We've got a copy of Vista in the mail, but it's taking forever to get to us. We'll be able to test the games once it gets to us.

I was able to play TreadMarks on Vista Basic, it loaded pretty quickly.
-
On the other hand, VMWare Player pauses for two minutes before it will load Windows XP or Ubuntu.
-
It takes five minutes to shut itself off but it will go into hibernation in less than a minute.
-
Sometimes it copies files quickly, sometimes it takes forever.
-
It doesn't play well with QuickBooks 2007 but I'm mad at Intuit anyway so that's no great loss to me although it cost one of my clients $$ for me to figure out how to get there file back.
-
Outlook 2007 is horribly slow.

I've got Vista in the office now. So far Vista and I have a bit of a hate-hate relationship.

Anyway, I'm working on making our games Vista compatible now. Check back in a week.

@PYMUSi

sorry if this offends you but are you a bot? , you made 1 post then vanish which is bot like behavior.

@Rick
i googled the name PYMUSi and found the following

http://www.chatbothub.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=userinfo&username=PYMUSi

Is that enough proof that hes a bot.
sorry if its just me , im kinda paranoid.

I wish I knew enough to volunteer to rework TreadMarks to run on Linux.

7Zip when extracting using full path names on a 180kb file, five minutes and counting.
I'm guessing that it is going to fail.

I stand corrected, Vista protected me from myself and hid the files in a virtual store, which is totally useless for updating TreadMarks addons.

I can see this is going to be a pain in the botox.

Yeah, Vista is particularly annoying that way. They've taken all the things I don't like about having Admin rights in Windows, and all the things I don't like about not having Admin rights in Windows and put them together!
sorry if this offends PYMUSi but are you a bot?
Maybe! That would explain this terrible pain in all the diodes down my left side...

Or maybe it's just that I only check the forums once a day.

Oh, well, your link no longer works, but if PYMUSi is a chat bot, it hasn't done any harm.
