It was a little pokey through FireFox on Ubuntu (Dapper) but that could just be the WPA wireless algorithim.

I missing seeing Dinochrome on that list of servers.

nah, it was up for a couple of months nonstop and windows needs to have it accumulating sins forgiven by a Vulcan nerve pinch once a month or else it commits harikari.

That's why you use linux servers ;)

Actually, funnily, my laptop was up for over 6 months before windows finally bluescreened following me accidentally static discharging into it's touch pad :D

Yah, but I don' have the time to install and configure Apache, MySQL, Java, MailDeamon, Syslog, VNC, Sourceforge, and the other dozen services I have already configured and imaged. :cry:

If someone says their LAMP server went down, just look concerned and don't ask them if they need a new light bulb.

So Kilier, you use SF over CVS? Hmm...

Yah I prefer SVN, CVS has 2 issues:

1 - it simply cannot deal with binary files
2 - folder management is a royal PIA
3 - its also a backup/ duplication headache

My job is also switching from CVS to SVN. SVN uses a database, the paths are virtual, it works over http/https, and binary is no problem.

I use a couple LAMP servers at work.

And I agree, SVN is better.
