When I try to boot up the demo of TM, i get a message saying:

Could not initialize acceptable OpenGL rendering context

It then shuts down. Could you help?

Your video card must be able to handle OpenGL. Most videocards out there now can, but sometimes onboard or really cheap end ones can't.

Go look at nVidia or ATI video cards. You can find a video card that can handle TM for about $30, but I'd recommend something a little better so you can play some of the more recent games.

Wow, a videocard that doesn't work with Open GL? How old is that?

Isn't this problem usually solved by simply updating the video card drivers?

Yep, this is usually caused by not having your graphics drivers up to date.

To find out what kind of graphics card you have, go to Start->Run, type dxdiag and hit OK . A new window will pop up. Go to the Display tab.

If it says your manufacturer is nVidia, download your drivers from here.

If it says your manufacturer is ATI, download your drivers from here.

If it says your manufacturer is Intel, download your drivers from here.

If that doesn't help, just describe the problem to me and I'll see what I can do.
