Hi GBV,The PC is not the problem when running a TM server (unless you intend to use it at the same time), remember Quake you can run that server on a 486 PC. More important is your Internet bandwidth. ADSL will get laggy at about +5 players depending on what mods you have in the game (the more info needed to be sent to each player the more bandwidth used)

There was a long post a while back that talked about how to determine how many players could be on your server, depending on your bandwidth. This was posted on the DMF forums.. I'll see if I can find the link a bit later today so you can see how to figure out your maximum connections. If you need help with configuring the server, just open up the dedicated.cfg file in your TM folder. It's mostly self explanatory, but if you need help with that, give a holler.IP: |

I guess we'll have to post the upload/download connection speed vs the recommended number of players matrix then... IP: |

yup, it's a question of bandwidth. my TM server is a K6-2 333MHz with 256MB RAM. running NT4 workstation. (hallsted i am) but all it does is run the TM server, nothing else, and it seems to work just fine. if you have cable or DSL just give it a go and see how it responds.toodles, harmless
