Linux / Terraform / GiMP == perfect combo for map creation

This was what povray had rendered for me two minutes (!) after starting the prog for the very first time. Yes, it tiles. Yes, you can export the heightmap (directly to GiMP). No, there's no windows version.

Did I mention that it can import many types of images as heightmaps - including .dxf, .dem, .png, .tif, .jpg and many others?

I'm pretty inept when it comes to map creation - all I can do is advertise this tool and suggest using the "smooth" feature. With large parameter values.

What I aspire to do with this package is high quality map preview rendering made easy. If this one can't do it, maybe I can use some of the basic concepts for the next TMapper release (rewritten from (almost) scratch, btw)
