I found out something today.

If you are making a map and you have no animdir= line in your config.cfg and you press alt-F12, it places a MAPNAME_shot.bmp file of the proper resolution into your Map dir.

Nice, isn't it!

Yeah thats how your supposed to make the map preview shot but I dont like it because it removes trees and meshes from the shot.

Hmmm...I've seen it before...guess its becuase I always used a normal screenshot mode method. But then back in 1.5.5 I had a beta upgrade with screenshots enabled so I could get screens for LDA, so I'd never have had a reason to notice the feature of using Alt-F12 until now when I forgot to put the animdir line in my config.cfg file...
