Added some requested features:1. MRU list - I added a max of 2 MRU files to the File menu. Too many MRUs clutter up the menu, so hopefully 2 is enough. 2. More saved .ini features - mostly preview mode flags. 3. Clean up the Preferences menu. I'm using property sheets now. These are really cool dialog windows. 4. Can now change the grid spacing in preview mode. 5. Clean up the torus mapping. Before I just applied a cylinderical mapping to it, but due to the wrapping nature of a torus, back faces are not unwrapped properly. So now I'm generating the uv coords. upon creation, which allows me to flatten out the entire torus like a cylinder. Pretty neat stuff if you ever use them before. http://www.geocities.com/uvmapper IP: |

well since i was the one who asked about the MRU list i guess i should be the one to "complain" . the MRU list should really have at least 4 entries i think. i mentioned it before because when working on my tank it would have been nice to have "one click" access to: Tank Body Tank Turret Tank Barrel Tank bmp (would the bmp work on therre?)ok, so im not sure on the bmp, but even so it should hold at least 3 for when youre working on tanks. come to think of it it should probably ignore manually loaded luv files as well (and no i havent d loaded the new version yet, im about to, maybe it does ignore these). but maybe an option to let the MRU store luv's? anyhow, guess ill d load it now and just shut up great program man, keep doin it. i love this thing. ------------------ Let the rocks roll and the battle commence. hi Lithium - i was wondering if you would find it interesting/useful to integrate a mesh simplification algorithm in UnWrapper.check out: http://graphics.cs.uiuc.edu/~garland/research/quadrics.html while QVis already can provide an opengl preview of the model as it's being simplified, i thought that this may interest you..? interstingly, this algorithm can aparently incorporate texture information as well. see section 7.2 of http://graphics.cs.uiuc.edu/~garland/papers/quadric2.pdf p.s. i've corresponded with the author in the past, and he has been very responsive to my inquiries... IP: |

Well, it would be nice, but things of this nature are better suited for 3D modelling packages. For example, MilkShape3D has recently added something like this to reduce a model's poly count. You could check that out.IP: |

OK - i just wanted to show ya in case you were interested in adding more bells & whistles to UnWrapper. UnWrapper, QSlim & Qvis work perfectly well on their own...i might check out MilkShape3D - but i'm planning on concentrating on learning Blender ! IP: | |
