one thing that will help you chat while you're running away is if you enter chat mode while you're still pressing the accellerator. then you can let go of the controls to type, but your tank will still be powering along.[hi KONG! geez - you've been playing TM for at least two years, right? and is this your first post on the BBS? 
SF = my first favorite city, before i saw Boston and NY (now they're all tied).]

GUIDO IS JUST SHOWING US AN EXAMPLE OF NOT MANNERLY. u kno... there is a small program called "anti-capslock" that disables your caps lock key. very small little guy that i like a lot. keeps you from caps locking accidentially. have to hit shift+caps lock to activate it. Guido, my friend,I stand corrected concerning your netiqette. But last time I checked this was a PUBLIC BB (notice the appropriate usage of caps?!) As such you are obligated to observe certain norms of acceptable behavior. These norms require that your posts, cynical or not, do not unduly insult your readers (whether they are the target of your barbs or not.) Act as a loutish ogre all you want, but do so in a more appropriate venue (like via a personal e-mail or at the grade school jumgle gym.) Such idiotic bullying carries little weight here. TM may simulate violent action, but our community, or any community for that matter, is no place for stupid, aggressive fools like yourself. Go hit a punching bag or something; don't insult members of this community. Good luck in this endeavor. hoping you get whatever mental (social) assistance you need,

guido - may i kindly ask you: why on earth do some people seem unable to keep their temper in public? i don't know you, never even played against you, but my first impression is a bad one. not a good way to live, don't you think? if you feel mistreated or misunderstood, say so, but i don't see any possible reason at all for you to behave like you did in your last post.
this is a ame, after all. some people apparently feel offended by your way of playing it and they say so, if not very mannerly, i admit. that leaves you with four options:
a) change something about your behaviour
b) ignore the complaints
c) complain about the complaints
d) start a discussion whether or not your behaviour is acceptable.I don't know which ones I would choose (I don't think many people regard my usual bbehaviour as offensive), but I know which ones I would not choose.b) and c) are bad choices for making friends to have fun and good games with. If everybody leaves the server once you connect, what's the good it does you? IP: |

Not to gang up on you, Guido, but you come off as a jerk. Playing is one thing, but insulting is another. You should wait until you play some of us before you go off and assume we act like you. You are just overboard. Try chilling out a bit and play some TM. Maybe we can get to know you as a good player instead of just a FLAMER.

Sigh... well, fellas, we might as well give up. Sarcasm and cynicism have gotten the better of us. I feel so darn defeated  Guido, I can't compete with your fresh sarcasm and original cynicism that is just so unique, biting, and cynically sarcastic. I guess I'd simply switch servers. But then again, I hardly play anything at all anymore - the work on the map editor takes up all the time I've got left after university and girlfriend have had their share. Sigh...
Guido - no prob if you don't like us. Looks like we return your feelings as warm as they're given.
If you think you're better than the rest of us, why not go prove it? Do something as invaluable for this community as Lithium or coax or Jvortex or N&O or Random Chaos or Matrix or Skanandron or many others (those were just the first names that came to my mind). Win ten games in a row against coax  . Create cool new TM tank models. Anything. Those are good ways to be accepted into this community. Another good way is to stop nagging and screaming and simply be a part of it.
Yes, for some of us TM has become a major part of our lives, and this is one of the best game communities I've seen. Don't spoil that. Please.
Btw. I'd be pretty grateful if someone could finally paint a landscape for me to test my java classes... (1024*1024,greyscale (with color/texture recommendations))IP: |
