Modelers (free/shareware): -Blender (hard to learn, but very good - ask for prog, as not available anymore) -Anim8or (i haven't used, but looks easy. www.anim8or.com) For Texture Images: -any paint program. excelent freeware is GIMP For UV-Texturing 3D Models: -Ultimate UnWrap3d (formerly LithUnwrap. now trialware, but old freeware may still be around ) lots more stuff... just remember that models have to be in Lightwave 5.x format, and non-liquid models have to be UV-textured. also see: /forums/archive/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000193.html /forums/archive/ubb/Forum9/HTML/000014.html and /forums/archive/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000027.html /forums/archive/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000003.html /forums/archive/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000010.html /forums/archive/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000024.html /forums/archive/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000008.html /forums/archive/ubb/Forum6/HTML/000019.html also look at other posts in this Topic as well in Modifications... have you looked in the 'art' folder (and it's subfolders) yet? as for a definition; textures are bmp files that most paint programs can generate. they are classed as textures and sprites. sprites and flags may have up to 256 colors and should be in 8bit format. textures can have up to 16 million (24bit) colors. textures for tanks may be up to 512 x 512 pixels in size, those for weapons should be no larger than 256 x 256.
