My PC never detected a virus--even AFTER the warning was posted-and I DID scan for one--( I was warned about the site as well, BTW)--anybody care to elaborate??

So my question is...
..
Has this person's IP been logged and has he been reported to the CERT and to the FBI if he is in the US?
This post was clearly intended to do harm.

I didn't detect a virus. But if one in 3 of us did it is still prudent to delete the link in my opinion.

Yeah. Virus distribution is a major NO-NO! FBI, CIA, and .GOV's need to be informed: there's an idiot on the loose!

norton 2k3 found 'js.offiz'. the html file itself is classed as a trojan. see here http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/js.offiz.html for more info

Variable browsers, variable patching, variable anti-virus protection standards, browser secuirty settings, pop-up stoppers, ad-watchers. I seen stuff get through and sit on drives only to be cleansed by virus sweeps which quietly renamed files to dormant code.

I worry more when a system reports all clean in a network of infected systems; past experience has proved, it is the quite ones that you have to watch.
