I'm making a new forum to help answer student's question in science. Specifically it'll be designed to answer Chemistry questions, but it has a general science question forum as well. It is monitored by me religiously, so the content is clean. Feel free to have your kids ask their questions there.

For those that don't follow up with my real life. I'm currently a PhD Chemistry student at UC Berkeley and I'm well versed in most science disciplines, well-enough to answer kid questions anyways.

The URL is simply hop.to/chem for now, I'll probably will make a more generic link as time goes on, but not in the near future. Please feel free to exploit this resource.

Perfect! I can just see the questions that will be posted by our guys. Why is slime slimey? What makes feet smell?
Where do boogers come from?
Are you ready??

Sure ask away. If I don't know, I'm surrounded with other scientist in my daily life, so I can get an answer.
