so how does a fx5200 ultra compare to a ge force 4 mx 420? would one see a jump in frame rates?IP: |

The fx is seriously all-round better hardware. There should be a marked jump in quality, the fps doesnt really matter since beyond 80fps its practicly undetectable to the eye anyway. The current tech standards fps isnt a big deal, the essence is on quality.I know if I had the choice, id go fx IP: |

ok, thanks. on a related note(sorta) can you imagine the chaos that would ensue if one of todays average puters (with tm loaded of course) showed up at a 50's gov think tank?IP: |

I got an FX 5200 with my new system. It does a superb job and even delivers in Linux once I downloaded the Linux NVIDIA driver and installed it.------------------ May you always have a following Sea a cool breeze at your back and the comfort of those you hold nearest to your heart.
