If the Internet Explorer Flash plugin is based on ActiveX, you should be able to embed Flash animations in a Powerpoint presentation.

Open a blank presentation...

    1) Right Click on the toolbars at the top and choose "Control Toolbox"
    2) Click the Hammer button which is the "More Contols" button
    3) A list of other controls will pop up.
    4) Choose the Flash Control "Shockwave Flash Object"
    5) Click and drag the rectangle to the size you want.
    6) Right click on the new rectangle and choose properties.
    7) Change embed movie to "True"
    8) Under "Movie" you have to paste the path to the movie file. (no file browsing)

Holy heck, I did that from memory. Damn I'm good. We use flash/pp at work all the time. They left off embed movie though. Otherwise you alway have to keep the swf in the same folder, especially if you move it to another pc or change drives.
