With saved games it would be hard to compare high scores, but we'll give it some thought before the next version, which will be done shortly after we finish Tread Marks. For the time being, hit F7 to go to windowed mode, hit "p" to pause the game, then iconify the program. That will put it to sleep while your computer is still on. IP: |

Idea: Use the Rogue meathod of saving and reloading games.(if you don't know Rogue, its an old, good, ascii game) Basically, when you load a game, it deletes the save file. Obviously there are ways arround this, but most people wouldn't use them. That way, one person can't get 20 high scores just by saving and reloading the same game. IP: |

Well, LDA would first have to add it as a feature...But it would allow you to save and reload whenever you want, with the restriction that you can only load a saved file once -- and if implemented correctly, there would be no easy way to relaod a saved file more than once. I've not actually played DX-Ball though, but I have seen it and I have played many other games just like it (all on my Amiga). All of those Amiga games had the same problem with a lack of a save feature! ------------------
