Just wanted to let y'all know that Seumas's work helped out a hell of a lot with some stuff that I was doing. (Seumas was the guy who programmed the explosion systems in TM right?...) I'm on my school's robotics team, and I do some 3d animation stuff, and they needed me to do an explosion. I tried the best thing that came with 3d studio max- combustion. The fiery part looked great, but the smoke looked like crap. I was searching around for a few days looking for a good way to get it done, and then I took a look at the entities in the treadmarks folder and it hit me like a ton of bricks. The next day I whipped up a quick particle system thing and slapped on a fractal texture and turned on additive transparency, and it worked great. Thanks, Seumas! Sad to know that he's gone...
