I was wondering what language DX-Ball 2 was written in. I am familiar with Basic and Visual Basic, but am willing to learn others. I have VC++ 5 and Turbo C++ but not much knowledge of them.------------------ Dave Rowe, President RoweWare

I used Visual C++ 4.2 at the time, but I'm using VC++ 6.0 with Service Pack 3 now. Most of the code was plain C (and absolutely no MFC), with a bit of C++ here and there.------------------ -- Seumas McNally, Lead Programmer, Longbow Digital Arts

Is there any way to port it to Visual Basic? I have VB6 and would love to create a game along the same lines...don't worry I wouldn't sell it...no copyright infringements, just for personal acheivment purposesIP: |

Sorry, no, I won't be porting DX-Ball 2 to Visual Basic, if that's what you're asking. I doubt the C/C++ source code will be made available any time soon, either.Try this links: http://visualbasic.about.com/compute/visualbasic/library/weekly/aa032599.htm And this one: http://visualbasic.about.com/compute/visualbasic/msubgames.htm?terms=%2Bbreakout+%2Bvisual+%2Bbasic+%2Bsource+%2Bgame&PM=113_300_T Which has a link to this page: http://hem.passagen.se/fylke/ That has source code to a bunch of little games, including Breakout. ------------------ -- Seumas McNally, Lead Programmer, Longbow Digital Arts
