If you're into 3D graphics, you need this book: "Real-Time Rendering" by Tomas Moller and Eric Haines. Amazon URL is:
It covers pretty much all the hot topics of real time 3D graphics today, in a non-api-specific manner. It's up to date, and has a nice introduction where they actually explain some of the math they use throughout the book in manageable terms.
Another one to check out is "Game Design: Secrets of the Sages". Check near the back in the Shareware section, and you'll see a bit about me and LDA. <grin>
