If the server is ready, the clan war will be unranked and public.

I'm sure you know what you're thinking kv. But my telepathy isn't what it use to be. Why is it not ranked?

Don't misunderstand. I'd just as soon have half as many of them anyway. But I'm curious nonetheless.

Adding the firewall and loss of files, plus getting logscan set up properly again.

It should be noticably better than the old server once it is running properly.

Is LDA going to have logscan running on the stock server? If so please let us know in advance. I do not wish to be logged and I really don't want to play under an alias.

I'll run the stock out-of-the-box "LDA" server outside of LogScan.

Hopefully we can get everything to work now with a clean install of LogScan 4.0.3

As far as I've seen, logscan is a great tool for this game, makes things simpler and faster...
If you do not wish to be logged, I'm sure "they" can work something out (as in making your name a log-less player)... IF they can do this for you, would you still mind LDA using logscan?
Logscan can do many things I find very interesting, helpful and easier to manage; Jim probably won't be bother as much, the server will be more protected and everyone would be respectful in how to use it. (I'll help make sure of that).

Kong I respect you as a player, but please consider using this helpful tool for the benefit of all, unless there is something else that you would like to add?

Too funny Pablito. You'd have more luck convincing lions to give up red meat.

How about considering LDA's point of view. Logscan provides a way to modify a server and to protect the credibility of LDA with the contracts that they have regarding TM they must run a stock server - therefore no modifications that are not controlled strictly by them to the stock server...therefore the question of running logscan on the stock server is mute.

If LDA decides not to use logscan for the stock server than that's the end of it. (with all due respect).

For being a heck of free tool though... I'd use it. (signing papers that say you won't touch anything without someone's consent also means that someone is in control).

Just my 2.

"If LDA decides not to use logscan for the stock server than that's the end of it."

What precisely is "it"? How exactly is it coming to an end? And who's perpetrating this dastardly deed? I'll kill the rat b@st@rd!

Well if LDA has never used logscan on th e main server and it is still alive, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Relax people. Right now there is only one server up under logscan on the LDA box so that we can get it (LogScan, Server, Firewall, FTP, et al.) working. Onmce everything is hunky dory, there will be a stock server that will not be scanned, as well as the community servers.

Kong: you're not scanned on any server. Whenever you use the player name 'Kong', you're data never makes it to my website.

Actually, there is nothing running under LogScan at the moment as I haven't been able to get the latest install to start.

The only server running is the stock LDA one which is running on its own, and it can be left that way if everyone is happy with that.

We'll try to get the kinks out today as I'll be available all day.
