Birthday bash will take place on the 20th at the standard DDM time.

I've also been asked to relay a request to anyone running their own server: please turn them off while this event takes place.

before I get my worthy insult.
Let me actually ask something related to the topic.
Will the new flag pack be set in place for this event?

um... why would we need the 20 team pack? isn't the birthday bash just a standard DDM?

yes...the b-day bash is just like the ranked ddm. It will not have Chaos. And it will have maps that can support a large crowd with lots of spawn points. I would says like Banks, Hell crossing, Brimstone...no Caldera...too big of a view. I would just use the Ras 9 minus Pinnacles and add brimstone.

So please get the word out...thx

No doubt 666 is still helping a little in order to smooth out the transition. It's not such a bad idea.

Just want to be clear here ...

Are stock maps all that's needed, or are clan maps being used?

ok, i've been CC'd by 666s on a message to Jim about using the main LDA server for the birthday bash and it got me thinking.

TM, from the release date, turned 5 last month. So, for this birthday bash, why don't we play it the way it was meant to be played?

This means using an unmodified stock TM install, like the one that the main LDA server is already running. So yes, all the weapons, all the maps.

I personally can't think of a better way to remember Seumas and celebrate 5 years of TreadMarks.

Comments?

Stock means you do not install the .ent files required for the hidden tanks Bam. Stock is with no modifications of any kind...

Cool I could go with the shadow...but LDA has not said that we can use the LDA main server...so cross your fingers.
