Well my bro had an enlightening ideal for the racing. Below is the email he sent. I agree with him.

"i know that you said something about still doing the
race ladder status, though there is no point to it...
but you know what might be a better idea, i wouldn't
bother with the race ladder status, where one get points
for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.... we both have better things to
do with our time.
since the total number of racers is relatively small,
it might be better to keep track of everyone's personal
best lap times for each race map, and still have the
best overall lap time.
this way, everyone will have to take screenshots of
every race, since they can have their own table of maps
with their personal best lap time. space on the web server
is no big deal, i have lots. and creating a map table for
each person is easy enough to do. and this way, you won't
have to badger people to take screenshots, since each person
will have to take screenshots if they want us to record and
show their personal best lap times. also, you won't have to
stop at the end of each race to take a screen shot to record
what happen, and each person will now try to finish each race
instead of just stopping once the race has been won.
you can still put together the montage of each race's finish
order, i still like that...
basically we would just be substituting the point based race
ladder status with recording people's personal best lap times.
something to think about.

later
bromike

and if someone does not know how to take screenshots,
send them my way and i'll get them a copy of the program i use. "

Let me know what you all think

OK...glad to see you all agree. So that is what we will do. I will stop the ladder points and we will just post the best lap time of all the racers and the best lap times overall.

Will need you to send the file in a jpg format no bigger then 1024x768 or smaller then 800 x 600.

And the file name will need to be uniform.
Just type our name, map and time as the file name. For example:

666_pinnacles_1min_46secs.jpg

If there are any questions...let me have them.

Note: corrected the file extension

generalizing it's such of under-rated word.

..and it was: "glad to see you all agree..." maybe there's a private council... but how did he find out so quick?...mhh...

Ok, I am open for how a stock ladder should be run. I do know that there is no use in getting points now because you cant get anything with them. But best lap times are cool. And my bro said that he would support individual and overall lap times. This would be cool because now folks stop when the 1st person crosses the finish. With all best lap times supported then you have a reason to finish every race. Then send the screen shot in for posting.

Let me know what you all think again. You have only 2 hours to decided...LOL.

Actually, let me know what you think.

Well, I was kinda hoping we were collecting points for a free burger somewhere, although, me being north of the 49th poses a bit of a challenge...LOL
Personally, and seriously now, I'm all in favour---just rubbing it in a bit, for a change--- was interesting enough to begin with, and I guess will be moreso, given the fact that EVERYONE will have a chance to post their own personal bests--
Will that make it more or less popular, I wonder?
Knock yourselves out gents...

"You have only 2 hours to decided...LOL."

- LMFAO !!!! "Decided already and haddnt clicked "POST" yet LMFAO !!!! HAHAHAHA

Ok, hows about this, if you want real things for points, tie it in with DMF's karma system where a good accumulation of karma means you can buy real things.

Just a thought - we use karma points as cash at DMF.

what I am hoping is that folks will finish the race. I have been holding back the results of the spread sheet cuz I don't know what to do with them. Then Harmless suggested the individual and overall best lap time. This made sense to me. Therefore we will go with it.

Now we need to decide the best day for racing. I loved the racing that happenned in Sunday. You need more folks for racing to make it fun, therefore I am going to cancell the Thursday racing. And have it the day of the Fun DDM until I can clear it with LDA to have 2 server up on the weekend. Actually, I am going to talk to LDA to have a race server with AI's up all the time. I will let you know what they think of it. The race server would have the same nondeformation weapons as the race ladder.

We will see.

I would rather talk to LDA about lag issues!!! for when the clan battle comes... I don't get it... now that you have more people playing, you don't care for lag?! what happened last month, what do you think it would happen this one... especially with the crappy Armaggedom map.... argh.
Racing and CTF are fun and I support you for whichever way you go... but the basics are still yet to be put in place......

Unless you score the total kills as 'World Kills' and then everyone loses.

Makes little difference - I leave for Bushkill, PA Sunday morning and will not be back until next Sunday evening about 10:00 PM. Love those MickeySoft classes......
