We're in the process of switching our ISP to Cogent from Allstream(ATT Canada).

At some point later today we'll be switching the Tread Marks server over (The same box holds the Master and Dedicated servers for LDA and the community.)

The current Tread Marks server IP info is:

address: 206.222.78.139
gateway: 206.222.78.137

The new IP address will be:

address: 38.112.120.109
gateway: 38.112.120.105
DNS: 66.28.0.41

This shouldn't cause problems for most players as the game will automatically seach the LDA site for the new master server location when it can't find it at the default address....

There is a "MasterAddress = x.x.x.x" line in the config.cfg file that can be changed to the new address to avoid the delay... (It should be reading to the new address later today.)

For those running Internet servers...they should update the master server address "MasterServer0 = x.x.x.x" so that heartbeats can be sent (keeping the server visible).

I took care of updating the community server's config files and changes the IP addresses listed for them on LogScan.

THey should be all good to go.

I will be curious to know if this will clear up some of those lag issues...

The Server box is now switched over...

Yes, I'll be curious about the lag issues too... The new line is a raw 100 megabit line. The old line was an E-10 line capped at 3 megabits.... (fingers crossed)!

Correct me I'm wrong, but I think folks do need to manually update their Master Client with the new IP, if they use that prog (which I do all the time). I don't recall that it phones home as TM itself does.

I just cut & pasted the new IP into the master client, and it works just fine.

I run the prog and let TM update it, go into a game and the master client is automatically updated! For me of course!
