LWA has selected the maps for the next clan war!

(puts on flame resistant armor)

6 maps:
the moon
glacier
ice world
caldera
black mesa
brimstone

note to 666: I don't know if you run them random or not, so you may want to alternate the first 3 with the last 3 on the map list.

Somehow that map rotation brings to mind the Eastwood flick "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". ;^)

Almost forgot: The moon? Again? LWA sux! DNX too. I'm mostly ambivalent about GA. The DOGs have gone to said dogs. There's nothing left of TC. And I'm still convinced ZE was a practical joke that went horribly wrong.

There. I think everyone has been properly insulted. ;^)

KV, generally what we do is list them all in the config file and then you just happen to play what comes up.
IF you happen to want them in any particular order, say so, otherwise we'll just put them in the config file in the order you listed, with the luck of the TM gods getting us what we play at the CLAN BATTLE.
Posting here is enough to let us know

Oh and just to verify, you want the STOCK VERSIONS and not the clan versions, right?

Okay, those maps translate to these maps in the config file, in this order:
DediMap0 = "JimMoon2.ved" (the moon)
DediMap1 = "DMIce.ved" (glacier)
DediMap2 = "JimIce.ved" (ice world)
DediMap3 = "DMCaldera.ved" (caldera)
DediMap4 = "DMSteps.ved" (black mesa)
DediMap5 = "JimH1.ved" (brimstone)

Config file is in place, just have to start the server

I wasn't sure if you told TM to randomize them or not, so that was just a suggestion for if you ran them in the order listed.

And that's stock versions of all those maps. Yes, there may be more players than spawn points on some maps, but this is a clan WAR afterall. Glacier and caldera should lead to some very high kill totals.

For LogScan to work, the maps can't be randomized, fyi.

Sue, thats not 100% correct.

For events it isn't a problem as LogScan knows when a map change occurs, and your event stats are grouped by game number and not map name.

However, regular stats will be affected as LogScan uses the map name to group your non-event stats. Since TM doesn't report the map name when in random mode, LogScan will lump all of the new data to a map with no name.

LogScan will write stat data to both event and non-event statistics during an event, basically storing it twice. If you don't mind having all the non-event player stats lumped together during the event, then you can use random maps. Just remember to set it back to non-random afterwards, if your going to leave the server up after the event.

This does not affect other servers listed on the system. Just the server which has a random map rotation.

well if that's the case with logscan, then run the server in random mode and don't worry about the map order.

Don't ferget that if you run the maps in random order that you can get the same map 2 or 3 times in a row...

drivers? no, dirtballs work much better than drivers. Get them pointed up and toward an opponent, they track real good in the low grav enviroment.

and just a thought, but what if team damage was turned off for this match? It might make it a little more fun
