We lost our servers when the power failed yesterday, but are back up an running now.

We were down for a 14 hours stretch.

Yes, but it wasn't nearly large enough for that "power fluctuation"....

We just got our power back 15 minutes ago, but are expecting to lose it again intermittently until Monday---and possibly later.
Just got a chance to "quik-check" the board, and take off before the power goes again!!

Hi,

Is it possible to run multiple master servers? I'm still offering a westcoast host.

Also, most of the motorcycle manufacturers sell reasonably priced generators that will run a small server room and a 5000 btu A/C. Of course, you'll want to put a line conditioner and UPS' in between to handle the surging from the A/C.

It should be noted that UPS isnt an alternative power supply - its intended to hold back enough power (like a capacitor) to feed ur pc for about 5 to 10 mins to give you time to save ur data and shut down normally. Least the ones in the Uk are for that anyway.

2 master servers ? which IP would we put in the master server line in the game ? You would need an extra servers screen because then you open up the opssibility of having several master servers. Actually - not a bad idea if there were enough players to utilise that facility - right now we have one MS and cant fill it.

A generator would help their stuff, but the rest of the city has no power, so you still can't get on the network.

The phone lines on the same grid out there par ? thyre on a diff one here - if the powers off the phones can still be on since the power to run the phones comes down the phone cables. Meaning here, if u have a backup generatir - as long as u have access to the net - u can play

Phones here in the colonies have stand-alone power too. We don't lose them during power failures.

Majority of the phones WERE down, as well as a whole section of the cable---which would negate any on-line play from this area...
Hopefully, it will be back long enough to initiate a game ot two...but I'm not logging into a game just to get "powered out"...
