I guess I shouldn't have announced my return right before I took a sixteen day hiking trip in the mountains of New Mexico (It was awesome). Things got real busy all the sudden right before I left and I never got the chance to tell ANYONE where I was going... oops.

Well, down to business, any major events that I missed?

Uh, no. Bush declared the end of major combat operations. Wackos taking pot shots at our boys from their hiding places is bad. But in terms of "combat operations", it's nothing compared to the invasion and take over of a country.

Political dissention is one of this country's most cherished rights. AND, critical commentary based on less than specious logic is also protected. To each his own.

Why is it you possess the inate ability and capability to completly ruin a comedic response by reducing it into a pure factual and desperately unfunny base ?

BUY A JOKE BOOK !

*To each his own* "Flock of Seaguls" is (C) Austin Powers 2 Sheesh...

At the risk of inciting a political debate, (not intended of course), isn't the US losing more soliders now, then when the war was officially on?

My apologies Matey. If I had seen the humor I would have taken it as such.

*Mental note: A tired and untrue cliche from a leftist concerning someone in the opposite political camp is considered humorous.*

OK. Duely noted. I won't let it happen again.

Newbie, if you look back in history, you find that Guerrilla warfare quite often causes more in the way of casualties than conquest does. This is for multiple reasons, first and foremost is the fact that guerrilla warfare happens over a longer period of time usually, two there is not a concentrated enemy, and three the guerrillas objectives are to either kill their oponents or destroy their war making capabilities.

May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again.
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Allow me a small breakdown of what we call "British Humour" for future reference

The US invaded Iraq
(implication he was gone longer than he was)

There were some tornado's in Oaklahoma
(there always is)

A flock of seaguls flew by
(boring, yet inspired by Austin Powers film)

Oh ya - Arnie is running for Gov'nor of Calif.
(a recent trueism)

in other words "nothing exciting you dont already know" just fyi - and thx for making a note, sarcastic or otherwise

Flying Tanks and Cookie Dough?
Oh, wait, no. If tanks were ment to fly they would have been born with little bags of salted peanuts.
