just found an interesting freeware.

i was looking for an ISO creation program for win98 and found softdisc:

http://www.ezbsystems.com/softdisc/main.htm

my surprise came from the included Daemon Tools which allows one to mount virtual cdroms. (which is also free for home use)

so i made an actual ISO image of my TM cdrom with softdisc and them mounted it with daemon tools and have been playing single TM games from the mounted ISO image.

they make money from their sales of their ISO image editor. a demo is also included in the softdisc download. all a paltry 2.2MB download.

this is quite handy since the original TM cd that i bought [ages ago] actually developed a physical crack in it (i wore the cd out playing so much).

toodles

i played a cdless version from before the disc was actually released... for years i played this. the only reason i got the disc was to play online with you all, and that doesn't require the disc.

does this ware that you got do blind copies? does it make perfect copies, or did i misread that?

as far as i can tell it makes perfect copies,
but there are many different cd protection schemes that are in use.

you would have to try it to see if it works.

the virtual cd drive should support Safedisc, Securom, the Laserlok and RMPS simulation, and MAY play protected compact disc games....

but, as always, your mileage may vary.
