I've added a way to DL player built TeamCTF tanks:

http://www.boomstickjoes.com/treadmarks/main.php?page=TCTF/playertankdl.php&group=TCTF&uid=&

When someone builds and downloads a tank in the TeamCTF tank builder online utility, it is added to the database, where anyone can grab it.

TeamCTF TankBuilder:

Lets see what people can create

Hot Dog.

------------------
An Irish Blessing
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
The rains fall soft upon your fields and,
Until we meet again.
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I just made a tank, and I think it's gonna be a monster! Or maybe not, I threw it together in a few minutes, pretty much maxing out the heaviest tank frame I could find But I don't have the tank builder utility and it's too late to start the 11 megs now.

Ah, I've been a busy bee today

1) I implemented a 'DL all tanks' button on the PLayer built tank pages which will zip up all the tanks into one file so you can dl it. This is done dynamically so oyu get everything up to the minute.

2) I built a new webservice to dl all the tanks.

3) I built a sweeper program to contact the webservice and install the tanks onto the TeamCTF server, then stop and start TM. This process happens at 11:40pm, 3:40am, 7:40am, 11:40am, 3:40pm, and 7:40pm EDT.

Edit: changed schedual

O MAN! I didn't realize that every tank I made whould automatically be put up for download! I was making tanks so that I could try them and see if they were good! Then if I liked it I would have sent it.

Killer maybe you could add another button in there, one that posted it for the server then have the download button do just that, so we can test our tanks out "in private" so to speak.

Problem is how would you mark it downloadable? Once you dl the tank, you won't be able to get back to it to mark it as 'good', and you can't edit it once you leave the page. Unless I just restrict it to MyBoomstick users.

The reason I went this way is because one can edit the ent file manually and send the modified one to me, and not the one that was built on the website. That would mean I would have to redo the tank on the site again to make sure it is legit.

My thoughts had been to have two buttons on the tank builder page. One that just downloads the ent and the other that downloads and posts it. The person who made the tank would have to "remake it" to be able to post it, if they just downloaded it to begin with. That would keep it so that you didn't have to mess with it, they would just have to make it twice if they wanted to test it out first.

K, you got your wish. 2 buttons. But I bet no one is going to bother with posting them. :/

I've stopped the sweeper as well.

People will post them, if you don't close the window while you test it you can just come back and send.

Well, I've got no homework for once so I think I'll hit the servers.

Since when have I not "posted" one, whether by sending them to you or this way. Actually this way is easier for me.
