Okay we have not received any definitive information from LDA as to what happened on the server that caused all the uproar and the timelimit for the current ban on mr.BIG is up so we have lifted the ban for the time being. He has been informed that the ban is lifted and that he had better keep it clean, but so everyone knows the ban is as I said lifted. Just wanted to let everyone know.

Might as well lock the " New question for the community thread " , nothing more to add to it really .

"We defend the rights of individuals to unrestricted freedom of speech, freedom of the press and the right of individuals to dissent from government itself. ...

We oppose any abridgment of the freedom of speech through government censorship, regulation or control of communications media, including, but not limited to, laws concerning:

Obscenity, including "pornography", as we hold this to be an abridgment of liberty of expression despite claims that it instigates rape or assault, or demeans and slanders women; ...

Electronic bulletin boards, communications networks, and other interactive electronic media as we hold them to be the functional equivalent of speaking halls and printing presses in the age of electronic communications, and as such deserving of full freedom;

Electronic newspapers, electronic "Yellow Pages", and other new information media, as these deserve full freedom. ... "

From the Libertarian Party Platform plank:

Have a nice day

From my plank - keep your mouth clean here and on the servers or you can take your libertarian BS and stick it where the sun does not shine and you will be gone whether you like it or not. Have a very nice day.

This is a Canadian discussion board and hence do not recognize the Libertarian Party.

Yes you are correct , this is a Canadian bb , I on the other hand am a U.S. customer .
I rarely use language of color here or on the servers . BTW what does BS mean Sailor , an abbreviation of a cuss word is acceptable to you then ?? Great I think you have that right of free expression .
Now what in the world happened to the general forum on this BB ???? Has it been eliminated ???
And as for Scrap , you better watch your language too

IMHO, "libertarian BS" is much better than most other political BS. The Libertarian philosophy is basically one of "No harm, no foul". As long as an individual or group is not causing harm or offense in some way(which can be very subjective, I know), one has no recourse but to let them speak(type) their mind or engage in whatever activies they would like. Yeah, I consider myself a Libertarian in case you couldn't tell....

Karldar in case you missed it I said
quote:
your libertarian BS

That was not an indictment of libertarian views just his interpretation of them. I believe in free speech, just not the abuse of it. As you said:
quote:
The Libertarian philosophy is basically one of "No harm, no foul".

That as we all well know is not mr. insignificant's view of it. He would rather it be anything anytime anywhere. Well I am sorry I cannot go along with that type of reckless philosophical interpretation to suit ones own views. So my statement stands in its entirety as it relates to his views.

Sailor , why do you belittle my views , and call me mr. insignifigant , Sorry bud , I'm not gonna argue with you , not worth the effort . If you want to know what the party stands for check it out yourself , before you pass judgement

i suggest that we stop calling him mr insignifigant so we dont end up in another argument and ban him again. i would like to avoid that if at all possible

I call them as I see them and he to me is insignificant - I do not call him by his chosen name because he is not big in any way. His views, his thoughts and him. So if he has a problem with that and thinks it belittles his views then so be it. They are insignificant views and he will remain just completely insignificant. I am not arguing with him just stating my view of his views in a simple way. INSIGNIFICANT...

I know what you typed, Sailor, but Mr. Big's BS(that has gotten him in trouble before) is not libertarian in nature, IMO. There was no special emphasis on the words "your", "libertarian", or "BS". I took it to mean that you don't care for Mr. Big espousing libertarian views and, by extension, libertarian views themselves--equating them with "BS". That's what irked me. Just because an undesireable character quotes legal documents doesn't make the documents BS.

I know that's not what you meant by your response, but that's what I got out of it when I read it yesterday and that's what I get out of it now. My response had nothing to do with Mr. Big. It had to do with my perception that you were impugning libertarianism. Sorry for the confusion on my part, Sailor. No harm, no foul .

Edit: Fergot my smiley.

It does not require locking. It will go away in its own time if no one posts to it. Since I started it that would be my option to have it locked and I deem that it be left as is. Thanks for the suggestion though.
Oh yes and sorry Karldar if you initially misunderstood my post. I did not emphasize those words since it did not seem to me to point to the libertarian position itself, but to the posters use of it. I did not intend for it to have that initial effect but I can see how you might have interpreted it that way - my apologies to you for the initial mistake.

whats a peptide?

a riptide occurs when the water from waves that come towards the beach over a sandbar needs to get out again, only there is a sand bar in the way. when this happens a small gap in the sand bar is formed if one does not exist already. all of the water is then forced to exit through this small opening and thus must go very fast. the strongest swimmer will be swept miles out to sea by one of these in a matter of minutes

Riptides are outside the body - peptides (cellualr ones) are inside the body

Ok i know - smartar$e lol...

Really this discussion has no point and no visible benefit - we all know where we stand, and the basic logic says "guido is allowed to post" so why all this ? clearly not needed imho.
